University of Geneva Excellence Masters Scholarship Details
The Faculty of Science at the University of Geneva, with support from various sponsors, offers an Excellence Masters Fellowship Program for international students. The Masters programs within this faculty provide excellent preparation for careers in academia, industry, teaching, and fields like science communication and media.
The programs are conducted in English, or a mix of English and French, and candidates are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
Geneva Excellence Masters Fellowship 2025 Requirements
To be eligible for the Geneva Excellence Masters Fellowship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Academic Performance: Applicants must be within the top 10% of their bachelor’s program and should have completed their bachelor’s degree or expect to finish within six months.
- Selection Criteria: Selection is based on academic excellence, evaluated through submitted documents.
- Language Requirement: Proficiency in French is not required for the Faculty of Science’s Master’s programs.
2025 University of Geneva Excellence Masters Scholarship Benefits
- Scholarship Value: CHF 10,000–15,000 per year.
- Duration: Awarded for one year and renewable for the entire Master’s program duration (three or four semesters) if the student is academically successful in the first semester.
Required Documents
Submit your application in English or French, including the following documents as a single PDF file:
- A scan of your national identity card or passport.
- A two-page Curriculum Vitae (CV).
- A transcript of all exams and grades from your bachelor’s degree.
- A motivation letter detailing your scientific interests and reasons for choosing the Master’s program at the University of Geneva.
- Letters of reference from two professors (preferably sent directly by them to [email protected]) attesting to your qualifications.
- Any additional information, such as GRE, TOEFL, or other language test results (if applicable).
How To Apply for University of Geneva Excellence Masters Scholarship
- Enrollment: Complete the enrollment process as outlined on the Admissions Office website.
- Online Application: Starting in January, register online to receive a personal link via email. Use this link to access and complete the application form.
- Deadline: Submit your application by February 28, 2025 (for Master’s programs beginning on September 15, 2025).
