Launched by the NNPC/MPN JV EMOIMEE HOST COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT TRUST IKOT-ABASI, the scheme is part of the transformative Ikot-Abasi Emoimee Scholarship Initiative, offering ₦400,000 annually to eligible and successful applicants.
Eligibility Criteria for NNPC MPN JV Emoimee Scholarship
To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
General Eligibility:
- Be an indigenous resident of the Ikot Abasi Local Government Area (LGA).
- Be enrolled in a recognized tertiary institution (private or public) within Nigeria.
- Have completed at least one academic session in their current institution.
Academic Requirements:
- Maintain a minimum academic standing:
- Second Class Lower for university students.
- Upper Credit for polytechnic and College of Nursing students.
- Merit for students at Colleges of Education.
Academic Performance Standards:
- Maintain the required academic performance throughout the scholarship duration.
- Submit academic results at the beginning of each new session.
Exclusivity:
- Applicants must not be beneficiaries of any other scholarship program during the scheme’s duration.
Character and Conduct:
- Must not be affiliated with any cult or clandestine groups.
- Must exhibit commendable character.
Scholarship Benefits
- A ₦400,000 annual award for successful candidates.
- Renewable annually until graduation, subject to academic performance and compliance with guidelines.
Consequences of Violation:
Non-compliance with any of the stated conditions will result in the immediate withdrawal of the scholarship.
