Christian Miracle Hospital is an NHIS-accredited fibroid, ovarian cyst, appendicitis and maternity hospital in Nigeria; established in 1992. We are located at No. 3 Akutu Crescent office Pascan Jake bus stop opposite Pine Crest School Enugu, Independence Layout Enugu state. We offer the best gynaecological, fertility and maternity services to our clients and patients. Our in-house laboratory is quality assured, and our dispensary stocks quality drugs and other medical consumables. We run antenatal clinics and fertility clinics every Tuesday.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Registered Hospital Midwife & Matron

Location: Enugu
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • Direct participation in surgical procedures;
  • Assistance in clinical research and record keeping as required by the organization
  • Assess patients condition before surgery
  • Control all equipment and material stock used in the Operating Theatre to ensure efficient and rational use of material resources
  • Keep the operating room sterilized
  • Position the patient on operating table
  • Pass medical instruments to the surgeons during operation
  • Monitor patient’s vital signs
  • Evaluate postoperative patients
  • Reviews charts for completeness, in accordance with documentation protocols prior to and after the surgical procedure
  • Adhere to all relevant health and safety standards
  • Communicate with patients, teammates, and physicians to ensure continuity of care
  • Manage sterilization of equipments
  • Assist the surgeon and anaesthetist during the operation, anticipating their needs in order to facilitate their job
  • Organize patient transportation from the Operating Theatre to the recovery room and carry-out and/or supervise all the postoperative activities.
  • Supervise and train the nurse aides and cleaners while following Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Contribute to monthly reports according to guidelines (statistical reports, etc.)

Note

  • The Registered Nurse shall be the senior midwife, head nurse/matron, and provide direct and indirect care for assigned patients in various nursing units and per scheduled shift
  • The Registered Nurse is primarily responsible for professional performance and safe patient care
  • The role encompasses nursing assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and coordination of care for patients across the healthcare continuum involving families
  • Managing patients with various medical cases
  • Perform patient assessment using appropriate, problem-focused, and age-specific assessment techniques
  • Analyze the assessment data, derive nursing interventions, set priorities according to patients’ needs, formulate a plan of care, implement and evaluate the outcome

Requirements

  • Must be a Christian, and possess godly Christian core values
  • Must possess a Diploma or Degree In Nursing / Midwifery with valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
  • Must be retired, and possess at least 10 years post qualification experience in a multi-bed hospital
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Must reside in New haven, G.R.A, Independence Layout/New Layout, Ogui Road, Trans-Ekulu, or Achara Layout axis.

Job Title: Medical Lab Scientist

Location: Enugu

Responsibilities

  • Good knowledge of laboratory equipment
  • Collect blood or tissue samples from patients, observing principles of asepsis to obtain blood samples.
  • Maintaining and updating professional knowledge and taking responsibility for continuing professional development (CPD).
  • Perform all tasks, duties, and tests related to laboratory services
  • Process specimens utilizing protocols and technical knowledge
  • Perform quality control, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting protocols to ensure proper functioning of instruments, reagents, procedures, etc
  • Validate and report the results of tests performed

Requirements & Skills

  • Min Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in any relevant field
  • Min required experience: At least 4 years post-NYSC working experience
  • Born-again Christian, and possess godly Christian core values
  • Must have post-NYSC working experience.
  • Must be registered with a practicing license.
  • Knowledge in the handling of laboratory equipment.
  • Computer literate.
  • Knowledge in the use of Standard Operating Procedures in the field.
  • BMLS /AMLSCN certificate will be an added advantage
  • Candidates should be living within new Haven, Independence layout, Ogui road, Obiagu/Onu-Asata or IMT/Polo axis.

Minimum Qualification / Requirements:

  • Aptitude for biology and chemistry.
  • Patience, decisiveness and meticulousness.

Job Title: Registered Midwife

Job Description

  • Perform professional nursing care for patients admitted to the clinic.
  • Maintain skill and knowledge by participating in various nurse education programs, seminars, staff meetings and workshops.
  • Maintaining accurate, complete health care records and reports.
  • Administering medications to patients and monitoring them for side effects and reactions.
  • Prescribing assistive medical devices and related treatments.
  • Recording patient vital signs and medical information.
  • Ordering medical diagnostic and clinical tests.
  • Monitoring, reporting, and recording symptoms or changes in patient conditions.
  • Administering non-intravenous medications.
  • Assessing, implementing, planning, or evaluating patient nursing care plans by working with healthcare team members.
  • Modifying patient health treatment plans as indicated by patient conditions and responses

Qualifications

  • Minimum academic qualification of a Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Midwife (RN), or Bachelor of Nursing Science (B.NSc).
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in the health sector is desired.
  • Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria and must be licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse/Registered Midwife or Registered Paediatrics Nurse
  • Experience in Perioperative nursing is desirable.
  • Must have the ability to work, Monday thru Friday (full-time)
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Professional, friendly attitude.
  • Experience in home health care.
  • Candidates should be born again with good moral values; and living within new Haven, Independence layout, Ogui road, or IMT/Polo axis
  • Experience in emergency room or intensive care.
  • Trained in Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR and be Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certified.
  • The ability to work with minimum supervision is an advantage.

Job Title: Medical Doctor

Location: Enugu

Responsibilities

  • To provide a continuous on-site medical support to meet the needs of patients. This includes emergency procedures and routine medical services in all clinical areas. The medical officer will work on a shift basis, and will be provided a call duty room in the hospital premises. He/she will report to the Chief Medical Dfficer (CMD). He/she will carry out any other duties assigned by CMDfrom time to time.
