We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Plant / Process Operator III

Location: Nigeria (Offshore)
Job type: Contracts
Job Nature: Standard

Main Functions

  • Responsible for liaising with the Control Room Technician (CRT) and other Operations Technicians on job safety requirements to ensure understanding of the work objectives, safety, health, environmental, Operations Integrity Management System (OIMS) and security concerns.
  • Responsible for supporting the CRT/Ops Supervisor in providing oversight of the area activities and ensuring they are integrated and conducted in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Works in a crew environment to manage activities involved with safe and efficient operation of all plant units and sulfur recovery operations. Performs surveillance of equipment.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Work cooperatively with Contractor personnel to prepare and maintain a safe work environment for their work
  • Responsible for participation in the Operations Emergency Response activities relating to the Area
  • Provide support and coordination with the Systems Completion team in start-up and commissioning of the facilities
  • Take part in the review of work packages for planned maintenance activities within allocated Area, confirms that isolation requirements are applied, and ensures that the preparation of equipment is planned in a manner that provides a safe environment in which personnel can work
  • Endorse Work Permits as the Area Operator (AO) . Endorse Work Permits as the Isolating Authority (IA) when required.
  • Encourages team effort between Maintenance and Operations groups
  • Supports work prioritization to maximize effectiveness and to complement the efforts of other work groups
  • Ensuring the CRT is informed and consulted about operations and major issues
  • Ensures good communication between Areas so that issues can be adequately addressed and actions completed
  • Responsible for maintaining good housekeeping in allocated Area
  • Maintain a daily log and shift changeover notes
  • Safely perform physical tasks at times, e.g. moving drums of chemicals, lifting, climbing ladders/silos/tanks
  • May perform minor maintenance to equipment
  • Maintain a high standard of plant housekeeping
  • Make process changes to ensure quality control of end products that are within accepted standards

Job Requirements

  • Industry experience in operations, or similar; required
  • Extensive knowledge in production operations/processes
  • Extensive knowledge in P&IDs, PFD’s and UFD’s
  • Able to read shutdown logic diagrams
  • Highest standard of Safety, Health, Environment aptitude and cultivates the same in others
  • Excellent communications (oral & written) in English
  • Excellent interpersonal and motivation skills
  • Ability to interact in a multi-cultural environment
  • Advanced understanding and operation of Emergency Preparedness Procedures
  • Advanced knowledge of safety management tools and processes. (Permit to Work (PTW), Step back 5×5, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Risk Assessment)
  • Understanding of Controls Integrity Management System (CIMS), safety management tools and Production Operations Best Practices (POBP)/ Planning & Budgeting (P&B) processes

Job Title: Turnaround Execution Coordinator III

Location: Nigeria (Offshore)

Main Function

  • Provide leadership to insure execution of job scope is done in a safe, environmentally sound and cost effective manner to support the long term reliability of the refinery.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Operations Turnaround Coordinator to validate value added, detailed job scopes.
  • Ensure plans incorporate all learnings and archived plans from previous turnarounds.
  • Utilize job scopes, subject matter experts, technical literature, equipment drawings, field visits, job safety aids, safety standards, etc. to develop detailed, safe, efficient job plans.
  • Prepare job packages per a defined, detailed operating discipline utilizing SAP to sequence the jobs and order the materials.
  • Complete a rigorous planning certification process, and as experience allows mentor other planners.
  • Collaborate with the scheduler, project teams when relevant, Operations Turnaround Coordinator, and other applicable SMEs to develop a value creating integrated schedule.
  • Collaborate with the scheduler and cost controller to develop a value creating labor resource plan.
  • Procure labor, managed services, and materials per defined labor and material selection processes.
  • Set up service level agreement meetings with service providers and perform pre walk through exercises / dress rehearsals.
  • Direct work activity in pre-work, execution, and post-work. Drive safety and productivity performance, remove barriers as needed, update schedules, and approve labor charges.

Job Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience in a chemical or refining manufacturing facility.
  • Experience in and understanding of the flow of maintenance work in various crafts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, such as Word and Excel, and have the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and nights as needed.
  • Excellent verbal / written communication skills.
  • A self-starter who can identify, prioritize, and accomplish.
  • Ability to collaborate, negotiate, and facilitate decision – making in high stress turnaround environment
  • Have strong multi-tasking, problem solving and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills – inspire others and lead them through influence.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Maintenance craft experience or exposure to maintenance work in a refining or petrochemical environment.
  • Experience in planning jobs in SAP.

  • We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Valve Mentor to join our offshore operations team.
  • This position, under the Production Operations Fitters family, is open to expatriates (non-Nigerians) with extensive expertise in valve systems and a passion for mentoring and developing junior technicians.
  • The role is critical for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of valve systems on offshore platforms such as FPSOs or rigs.

Position Overview:

  • As a Valve Mentor, you will lead and guide a team of valve technicians, providing technical expertise in valve maintenance, repair, and calibration.
  • You will play a vital role in training, mentoring, and developing the skills of junior valve technicians to meet operational and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the inspection, repair, and maintenance of various valve systems, including isolation, control, and safety relief valves.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior technicians, ensuring their understanding of best practices and technical procedures.
  • Supervise and participate in the calibration and testing of valve systems to ensure compliance with operational standards.

Certifications:

  • Offshore safety certifications (e.g., BOSIET, HUET).

Technical Expertise:

Abreast of best practices and latest technology in meeting minimum industry standards and specifications (such as API Standards, API Spec Q1, API Spec Q2, ISO 9001, American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT), National Association of Corrosion
  • Engineers (NACE), etc.) for manufacturing, inspecting, transporting, installing, maintaining and storing oilfieldequipment.
  • Extensive knowledge of ASNT inspection practices.
  • Extensive knowledge of T.H. Hill DS-1 drill string inspections.
  • Completion of ISO 9001 Lead Course

Job Purpose & Accountabilities

  • The purpose of the role is to support the planning and Risk lead and the project service leadership by providing planning expertise to deliver the full benefit of managing the schedule for the successful delivery of the Project.
  • This role will work closely with the contractor team and the owner’s construction team to validate progress, perform and evaluate risk and sensitivity analysis on the project schedule or critical path analysis and evaluate the impact on the delivery of the project as per schedule

The responsibilities of the role will include, but not be limited to:

  • Implement and comply with the planning and progress monitoring procedure.
  • Review and verify contractors’ reported progress and ensure and ensure that it is reflected in the project schedule.
  • Conduct the monthly schedule progress update, forecast, critical path, and trend analysis for assigned elements, including any
  • impact from the interface area. Implement and maintain the status report as part of PS report.
  • Assess and incorporate the impact of approved changes and any deviation from the project targets and milestones, including
  • productivity monitoring and identification of alternative approaches to optimize the plan(s).
  • Liaise with and challenge the project team’s and contractors’ personnel to ensure proper understanding of key schedule sensitivities and drivers.
  • Contribute to the translation of project key risks profile into the probabilistic risk model and understand the output, including key risk drivers for the possible range of schedule completion dates.
  • Support the implementation of a robust AWP process and effective monitoring.
  • Contribute to close out data to enable knowledge retention (lessons learned, project data compilation) at the completion of work.

Dimensions:
This is a mega project

  • Regular interface with contractor’s planners and team.
  • Interface with multiple stakeholders, including Contractors, Asset team and project team and other possible Interfaces as required by the job role

Job Requirements

  • An understanding of project optimization processes, construction constraints.
  • Extensive skills in the use of the Primavera planning tool is mandatory.
  • Skills in the use of PowerBI and other planning and reporting tools.
  • Ability to work across international/cultural boundaries.
  • Strong team player with good communications and interpersonal skills.
  • A minimum of bachelor’s degree in engineering from a reputable University or its equivalent.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years’ post-graduation experience out of which five (5) must have been spent on a similar position in the oil and gas sector.
  • Membership of relevant professional bodies is a MUST.
  • Ability to drive and possession of a valid driver’s license is required.

Additional Information:

  • Field experience in oil and gas midstream or downstream would be an advantage.
  • Fluent in English, written and verbally. Other foreign languages are additional advantage.
