The National Institute of Credit Administration (NICA) is the premier professional body for the control, supervision, and regulation of credit management profession in Nigeria; formed in 1992 as the “Institute of Credit Administration –ICA” and became chartered by the Act of Parliament No.26 of 2022. The Institute is the most prestigious body of eminent credit management elites, business leaders and credit-using entrepreneurs in the country. The Institute is the Supervisory Authority for the Act, vested with the power to enhance, promote, and protect the interests of business credit providers and grantors; consulting with and making recommendations to the government, regulatory bodies, trade associations, academic community and other professional bodies on all matters relating to credit management.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Membership Drive and Services Operation
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
Your primary job description is as stated below:
- Manage the Membership drive team
- Drive the NICA Membership operations in a fair, objective and courteous manner.
- Generate both weekly and monthly target performance report for presentation at management meetings
- Implement and execute fully, all measures, guidelines and recommendations necessary for a successful recruitment of persons into NICA Membership.
- Handle all membership related correspondences and other enquiries.
- Develop strategies for the growth and expansion of the membership drive program
- Work quickly and accurately, under pressure, while at the same time having a positive approach to meeting targets and willing to take on new tasks as the job demands.
Requirements
Applicant must meet the following requirements:
- Educational qualification – degree in Marketing, Business Administration or any other related courses, with high marketing skills including business communication. (Master’s degree is an added advantage)
- 3 – 5 years’ supervisory experience
- Computer skill – Must be adept in the use of computer and other technological gadgets.
- Digital Marketing/Social Media Management – must be well experienced in the use social media platforms like LinkedIn, Facebook, Email Marketing, other emerging platforms online.
- Communication Skill – very sound in English language (verbal and written), extrovertly smart, excellent personality and able to communicate at various levels of business hierarchy.
Salary
N120,000 – N150,000 per month.

Job Title: Account Officer

Job Role
- Analyze credit data and financial statements to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money.
- Prepare reports that include the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money.
- Prepare a ratio trend and cash flow analyses and create projections.
- Evaluate customer records and recommend payment plans based on earnings, savings data, payment history, and purchase activity.
- Draft models of credit information that predicts trends and patterns.
- Confer with credit association and other business representatives to exchange credit information.
- Complete loan applications, including credit analyses and summaries of loan requests, and submit to loan committees for approval.
- Generate financial ratios, using computer programs, to evaluate customers’ financial status.
- Review individual or commercial customer files to identify and select delinquent accounts for collection.
- Compare liquidity, profitability, and credit histories of establishments being evaluated with those of similar establishments in the same industries and geographic locations.
- Consult with customers to resolve complaints and verify financial and credit transactions.
- Carefully analyze data and produce clear and objective reports.
- Adequately assist the Head Accountant in handling the operation of the Accounting/Financial department, preparation of financial reports and yearly operating budget to aid management decision making and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Assist the Head Accountant in the reconciliation of bank account statements.
- Assist the Head Accountant in the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date financial records and accounts for the company
- Assist the Head Accountant in the maintenance of the fixed asset records and ensure proper accounting for fixed assets.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Carry out general accounting record keeping of payables and receivables
- Preparation of monthly financial reports quarterly, half yearly and yearly financial and budgeting reports of the institute.
- Reversal and corrections of wrong postings and entries
- Posting period Journals (Provisions, Accruals & salary Journals)
- Assist the Head Accountant in the Review of Prepayment Schedule and post Recurring JVs on all Prepayment Balances.
- Ensure that new Prepayments are updated on Excel Prepayment Schedule.
- Ensure that all previous provision & accrual are still relevant while those already settled are released.
- Post recurring entries (each entity should have list of recurring entries
- Assist the Head Accountant in the Preparation of SFP analysis (Vendor, Debtor age analysis & Related Party Transactions)
- Assist the Head Accountant in the Preparation of balance sheet notes
- Make accruals for all services received but not invoiced
- Assist the Head Accountant in the Review & Reconcile Payroll Summary Report to the GL Accounts.
- Assist the Head Accountant in the preparation and submission of Comments on the Net Income Statements for Review
- Carry out all administrative duties in the account department, inclusive but not limited to bank runs, Fuel and stationary purchases, logistics and deliveries of official items, etc.
- Any other duties that may be assigned.
