We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Plant and Equipment Supervisor

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Plant and Equipment Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of all plant machinery and equipment.
  • This role ensures that all equipment is in optimal working condition, complies with safety standards, and meets operational requirements to support the organization’s objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and oversee routine maintenance and repairs of plant equipment.
  • Ensure timely resolution of equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with technicians and external vendors for specialized repairs.
  • Monitor the performance of plant equipment to ensure efficiency and productivity.
  • Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all machinery, tools, and spare parts.
  • Recommend and implement upgrades or replacements for outdated or inefficient equipment.
  • Ensure all equipment complies with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential hazards.
  • Train staff on safe equipment operation and emergency procedures.
  • Prepare and manage the budget for equipment maintenance and procurement.
  • Analyze costs and negotiate with suppliers for cost-effective solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, repairs, and equipment usage.
  • Generate periodic reports on equipment performance and maintenance activities.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to technicians and maintenance staff.
  • Evaluate team performance and identify training needs for skill enhancement.
  • Performs other related job/duties as may be assigned by the superior from time to time.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in plant and equipment maintenance or a supervisory role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of machinery and equipment used in the industry.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in maintenance management systems and basic computer applications.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Job Title: Deck Crane Operator

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • The Deck Crane Operator position is a Platform rig crewmember whose primary function is operating the platform deck cranes, Pipe Deck Pipe Handler, and platform gantry cranes.
  • The position also assists the Deck Supervisor with planning and execution of crane work and pipe deck activities, i.e. offloading and back loading support vessels.

Responsibilities

  • Provide visible leadership with a Total Ownership attitude. Owns safety standard.
  • Perform daily inspections of cranes and equipment prior to startup.
  • Enforce, clarify, and follow Company and Client policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Promote operational excellence through procedural discipline.
  • Follow the Client’s daily drilling / lift plans.
  • Responsible for upholding morale and maintaining order among the crew.
  • Ensure Parker Drilling’s Competency Program – Authorized to Operate (ATO) and Approved Competent Operator (ACO) are applied and followed.
  • Ensure Client competency compliance is applied and followed.
  • Comply with platform emergency response plan or station bills during emergencies and / or drills.
  • Off load and load supply boats of any equipment necessary for platform operations.
  • Transfer materials and equipment as required, anywhere on the platform.
  • Assist with the preparation of tubular, tools and equipment when required.
  • Perform additional duties, responsibilities, and special projects as may be directed
  • Know and understand the capacities, operating procedures and limitations of the equipment to be operated.

Qualifications

  • Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor`s Degree / HND / OND / SSCE with 5-8 years work experience.
  • Able to identify and understand functionality of various rig equipment.
  • Able to identify and understand functionality of various tubular sizes and thread types.
  • Knowledgeable and proficient in basic rigger’s role to ensure safe lifting operations are performed.
  • Knowledgeable of mechanical systems and be skilled at working with hand and power tools.

Job Title: Laboratory Technician II

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Position Purpose

  • Responsible for performing routine tasks and simple analysis of hazardous waste samples utilizing prescribed procedures in accordance with company and regulatory guidelines.
  • May perform specialized analysis under the direction of a chemist in support and relation with applied quality assurance and control procedures.
  • Maintains the laboratory as directed for compliance with company hygiene plans.

Primary Duties / Responsibilities

  • Proficient in all Lab Technician I essential duties and responsibilities.
  • Sample a variety of incoming waste materials and determine proper analytical methods required for compliance in accordance with established guidelines and training.
  • Ensure proper written and electronic documentation of all test results including QA/QC and audits sample documents prior to approval and completeness of summarizing data.
  • Maintain proficiency of troubleshooting and maintenance of analytical equipment and documents in accordance with quality assurance and control compliance.
  • Gather appropriate paperwork for management approvals and notify staff of any incomplete sections needing attention. Compiles and reports analysis data including QA/QC data for review.
  • Perform periodic audits of analytical logs to ensure federal regulation compliance for completeness and error corrections.
  • Experienced in at least one advanced area, (metals/PCB analysis) and able to function and produce at high levels with minimum supervision and able to do routine troubleshooting on those instruments.
  • Be able to identify and bring to the attention of management result anomalies in a timely manner and troubleshoot common mistakes that a Lab Technician I may not recognize.
  • Must be able to recognize the importance of following procedures.
  • Perform lab housekeeping and sample management duties to ensure a clean and safe work area. Labels lab waste containers and properly disposes of lab waste per guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education / Experience / Background

  • Associate’s Degree with an emphasis in Chemistry required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related science discipline preferred
  • Prior laboratory work experience of 1-2 years required
  • Must have experience with metals analysis (ICP-OES) and Gas Chromatography (GC) use

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

  • Strong team player

  • Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple deadlines
  • Strong customer orientation
  • Knowledge of computer programs
  • Minimum typing speed of 30wpm
