We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Quality Assurance – WordPress Plugin Tester (WordPress, MySQL, GIT, Black-box Testing, White-box Testing, Unit Testing, Automated Testing, Manual Testing, CSS, PHP, JavaScript)

Location: Remote

Description 

  • We are looking for a QA – WordPress plugin tester, to work with us at WPMU DEV full-time testing challenging, interesting, cool new stuff.

Responsibilities

  • For this role, you will provide beta testing for all plugin and service releases. This includes user testing, functionality tests, regression tests, compatibility tests against different versions of WordPress and PHP and popular third-party plugins, measuring performance, reporting issues and monitoring the work to resolve them, producing screenshots or video to illustrate how to reproduce an issue.

Qualifications
Essential attributes and experience required:

  • You must be super familiar with WordPress, have experience in testing WordPress plugins and theme frameworks, know enough about MySQL and Git, and understand the concept of black-box testing, white-box testing, regression tests, unit testing, user testing, automated and manual testing, have sufficient knowledge on CSS, PHP and JavaScript to know how to narrow down possible sources/triggers of a bug/issue and write detailed steps on how to consistently reproduce it.

Skill-set:

  • We’ve attached a plugin that you’ll be using for this test. You can find it in the attachment section in the sidebar. You will need to upload this plugin to your WordPress install. Activate, and then use the plugin as an end user. Write down any issues you observe.

Job Title: WordPress Sales Support Specialist (WordPress, Customer Support, English Language, Communication, Sales, Data Entry, Google Sheets)

Job Summary

  • Will you be our newest WordPress Sales Support Specialist? We are looking for a WordPress Sales Support Specialist to promote high-quality WordPress plugins and themes that contribute to the overall success of WPMU DEV products.
  • You will join an ongoing and expanding team of sales enthusiasts who work collaboratively with all areas of the company to make sure we stand out from the rest!
  • The person we’re in search of will have intimate knowledge of WordPress and experience using a broad range of plugins and themes and will manage Accounts and Sales-related communications.
  • We’re looking for a person who will be able to also work on weekends and is available to work on the following schedules:
    • 10:00 pm – 6:00 am UTC
    • 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm UTC.

Responsibilities

  • Leads generation
  • Providing support to customers and members by identifying solutions to their WP-related concerns through our communication channels (email, chat)
  • Providing customer service and managing customer accounts
  • Providing product knowledge and promoting WPMU DEV products.
  • Maintaining meticulous CRM hygiene while monitoring and nurturing sales leads through consistent follow-up email correspondence.
  • Managing inbound and outbound sales communications.
  • Conducting Zoom calls with potential and existing clients.

Qualifications
Essential attributes and experience required:

  • Have a really good familiarity with WordPress, including themes and plugins
  • Superb interpersonal skills, including the power to swiftly build rapport with current customers
  • Proven experience in sales and accounts and billing support
  • At least 1-year of experience in any Sales Support position
  • Proficient in English: Verbal and Written
  • Proficient in spreadsheets and data entry
  • Enjoy collaborating with others, and don’t back down from a challenge
  • Typing skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Love people and love yourself!
  • We like all staff to be working 40 hours a week, but if you did want to work more hours, that’s also cool with us.

  • Responding to customers who report issues with their website(s), plugins or hosting services and handling/debugging issues (promptly)

  • Helping customers with their WordPress problems by logging into their websites, diagnosing issues and offering solutions.
  • Writing clear and helpful responses to customer queries via email, chat and our forum.
  • Providing knowledgeable recommendations for solutions to handle customer feature requests.
  • Providing our developers and Second Level Support Team with clear and detailed bug reports for escalation.
  • Properly document & summarize tests or troubleshooting steps for communicating both with customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

  • At least 2+ years of experience with WordPress.

  • An understanding of browser console errors and debugging via developer tools
