Job Title: Medical Officer
Location: Warri, Delta

Job Description
- This role is responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to patients in the hospital by diagnosing, treating, and helping to prevent diseases of women especially those affecting the reproductive system and the process of childbirth.
Key Result Areas (KRA)
The key result areas of this role are:
Clinical Service Delivery:
- To provide quality medical care to patients under the supervision of the HOD, Medicine and Acute Care and senior medical staff.
- Conduct a day-to-day review of patients.
- Analyze records, reports, test results or examination information to diagnose the patient’s medical condition.
- Perform cesarean sections or other surgical procedures as needed to preserve the patient’s health and deliver babies safely.
- To ensure comprehensive, accurate and concise medical records are collected and maintained for patients with an appropriate signed and dated legible entry in the patient’s medical record on every attendance upon a patient.
- Consult with, or provide consulting services to, other services.
- Participate in case planning, including appropriate pre-admission, in-hospital care, and discharge planning, to contribute to quality patient care.
- To arrange investigations, medical treatment and discharge as directed by the Registrar and/or Consultant to which assigned.
- Participate in clinical audits and quality programs as appropriate.
- To be “on-call” or participate in shift rosters is a requirement of the position
- Manage the administrative requirements of the hospital and patient care, including ensuring discharge summaries and medico-legal correspondence are completed promptly.
- Be aware of and adhere to all Coastal Specialist policies and procedures regarding clinical practice.
The Person
- Candidates should possess an MBBS Degree and relevant work experience.
- The job holder must be licensed to practice medicine from the Nigerian Medical and Dental Association.
- Knowledge of O & G and other specialist areas of medical practice such as pathology, radiology and paediatrics.
- The job holder must have good stamina and empathy for patients.
- The job holder must have good communication skills.

Job Title: IVF Nurse
Location: Warri, Delta

Job Summary
- The IVF Nurse is responsible for assessing patients, planning and implementing care, providing advice to patients and maintaining associated records.
- The IVF Nurse provides emotional and physical support to patients.
Employee’s Duties & Responsibilities
The key result areas of this role are:
- Coordinate all infertility diagnostic tests and treatment plans between patients and physicians.
- Perform routine examinations, and procedures, and administer medications.
- Educate and counsel patients on treatment protocols, medications and infertility procedures.
- Assist with retrievals and transfers including pre and post-op care.
- Responsible for the triagingof patients regarding their medication, treatment plans and procedures.
- Maintain patient’s charting, testing and flow sheets.
- Communicate highly sensitive information, with empathy and reassurance.
- Responsible for all ongoing communication between the physician and the patient.
- Instruct patients on how to administer fertility medications, including subcutaneous and intramuscular injections.
- Counsel patients on treatment options and programs.
- Performing ultrasounds to screen for uterine fibroids, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), endometriosis, and other conditions that may affect fertility treatment.
- Preparing medications and administering them to patients according to the needs of each case.
- Responsible for updating patient records following treatment (e.g. clinical observations following oocyte recovery) and providing verbal advice.
- Manage patient’s waiting lists, maintenance and scheduling cycles such as scheduling embryo transfers, embryo retrievals, frozen egg cycles and intrauterine insemination.
- Manage IVF schedule to coordinate clinical and lab workload.
- Monitor and ensure proper ordering of all clinical supplies.
- Maintain adequate stock control of supplies and drugs in the department.
- Ensure examination rooms are properly stocked.
The Person
- Minimum academic qualification of Bachelor of Nursing Science (B.NSc), or Master’s degree in Nursing with a focus on reproductive health.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience as an IVF Nurse
- Certification in Reproductive Endocrinology Nursing (CRN) is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office package.
- Outstanding communication (oral and written), interpersonal and people management skills.
- Possess a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Job Title: Pharmacy Technician
Location: Warri, Delta

Job Summary
- The Pharmacy Technician assists the pharmacist in distributing prescribed medications to patients. They are responsible for entering orders, filling prescriptions and ensuring that the pharmacists have verified and approved the prescriptions before they are dispensed to patients
Employee’s Responsibilities
- Organize medications for pharmacists to dispense by reading medication orders and prescriptions, preparing labels, calculating quantities, and assembling intravenous solutions and other pharmaceutical therapies.
- Receive written prescription or refill requests from patients and verify that information is complete and accurate.
- Deliver appropriate medications and pharmaceutical supplies in the right quantity to patients, nursing stations or surgery.
- Verify prescription information and dosage.
- Prepare the prescription labels, select the type of prescription container, and affix the prescription and auxiliary labels to the container.
- Compute and determine price and file the prescription which must be checked by the pharmacist before it is given to the patient.
- Establish and maintain patient profiles, including list of medications taken by individual patients and costs under the supervision of the Pharmacist.
- Maintain records by recording and filing doctors’ orders and prescriptions.
- Maintains pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level, ensuring the First-in-First-Out (FIFO) system is strictly adhered to, anticipating needed medications and supplies, placing and expediting orders, verifying receipt and removing expired drugs.
- Order, label, and count stock of medications, chemicals, and supplies, and enter inventory data into the pharmacy database.
- Receive and store incoming supplies, verify quantities against invoices, and inform pharmacists of stock needs and shortages.
- Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with Health and Safety guidelines, rules, and regulations.
- Monitor the expiry date of drugs.
- Maintain proper storage and security conditions for drugs.
- Regularly clean the refrigerator and monitor the refrigerator’s temperature where drugs are kept.
- Perform any other responsibilities assigned by Senior Leadership.
The Person
- Minimum academic qualification of an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Pharmacy Technology or any related degree.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience preferably in the Health or Service sector.
- Licensed to practice with the professional body.
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office package.
- Outstanding communication (oral and written), interpersonal and people management skills.
