The U.S. Mission to Nigeria comprises of the Embassy in Abuja, FCT, and the Consulate General in Lagos. U.S. Consulate General Lagos is the Mission’s representative to the Nigerian people in the southern region.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: DriveCam / Vehicle Safety Coordinator

Job Summary

  • Incumbent will be responsible for a full range of program management duties relating to Vehicle Safety and the Mission’s DriveCam program.
  • Incumbent will report to Motor pool Supervisor and assist in managing vehicle safety and entire DriveCam program under Chief of Mission authority.
  • Assist to train staff in vehicle safety and monitors DriveCam web site dashboards and perform administrative functions to keep the database current.
  • Monitors metrics and makes recommendations in areas of driver safety, driver improvement, coaching, awards, and discipline.
  • Coordinates with OBO/SHEM for safety issues.

Requirements

  • Completion of Secondary School is required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in administrative tasks and two (2) years of professional driving experience is required.
  • Good working knowledge; speaking, reading & writing is required.
  • Jobholder must have a thorough knowledge of web-based databases and internet applications. Knowledge of host country traffic laws, and regulations. Understand and comply with all transportation and traffic laws.

Salary
USD19,560 / Year.

Job Title: ESO Logistician

Job Summary

  • The U.S. Consulate General in Lagos, Nigeria is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the ESO Logistician position in the Engineering Services Office. The U.S. Mission in Nigeria supports Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility (DEIA).

Duties

  • Position provides technical security support and services to posts in its respective geographic region.
  • Manages the ESC/ESO inventory and is responsible for supply chain management, logistics operations, procurement, and inventory reconciliation of technical systems and equipment maintained by the ESC/ESO at its post of residence and constituent posts throughout the region. A
  • ssists with office administrative duties, travel arrangements, and tracking the office travel budget.

Requirements

  • Completion of High School, secondary school or equivalent academic qualification is required.

Job Title: Warehouse Worker

Duties

  • The Warehouse Worker is responsible for safe handling, moving, storage, and inventory of both expendable and non-expendable items.
  • The position is in the General Services Office and under the supervision of the Warehouseman Foreman.

Education Requirements

  • Completion of primary school education is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of experience in manual labor or warehouse work is required.

Job Knowledge:
The following job knowledge is required:

  • Good working knowledge of warehouse operations, procedures, USG safety and security standards.
  • Good working knowledge of maintenance and efficient usage of warehouse storage space.
  • Good working knowledge of conducting inventory and stacking of items/equipment.
  • Please address this factor in your ERA application under Major Duties and Responsibilities.

Skills and Abilities:
The following skills and abilities are required:

  • Ability to physically perform loading and unloading. Must be able to handle heavy objects smoothly and efficiently. Must be able to lift a maximum of 51 lbs. (23kg) under OSHA standards.
  • Ability to use warehouse tools and safely operate equipment such as forklifts, hand trolleys, electronic lifters etc.
  • Must be able to perform assign tasks in all types of weather, and environmental weather conditions to include at times severe cold, extreme heat, wet or dry weather conditions, and high winds.
  • Must have a valid Nigerian driver’s license.
  • Must have had a valid driver’s license for a minimum of five (5) years.

Salary
USD 7,178 / Year.
