Job Title: Tariff Standardization Officer

Job Description

  • Reliance Health is seeking health professionals to contribute to data management project by annotating medical terminologies, investigations, procedures, and drugs using a standardized terminology tool. Join Reliance Health and be part of a team dedicated to transforming healthcare services in emerging markets.
  • Annotate medical terminologies, investigations, procedures, and drugs using a standardized terminology tool. The Standardization Officer will be responsible for ensuring that all medical terms, procedures, and drugs are accurately mapped to the correct standardized code.
  • Ensure compliance with the company’s standards, regulations, and best practices related to tariff naming, coding, referencing and upload
  • Collaborate with supervisors to review standardized tariffs and ensure that they are done adequately
  • Maintain accurate records of all standardized codes and ensure that they are up-to-date for ease of reference.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a First Degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, or Nursing. No clinical experience is required but it will be an added advantage irrespective of first degree.
  • Experience with medical terminology, tariff management and diagnoses and tariff coding, as well as experience with standardization processes is an added advantage.
  • Excellent numeracy, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Suite or Google Suite of products.

Remuneration

  • Remuneration will be monthly but calculated based on the total number of completed tariffs at the end of each monthly review and paid at 15 Naira per validated tariff. This may range between N80,000 – N100,000 Naira per month.

Job Description

  • The role sits in our clinical team to provide excellent primary care to our patients.
  • The role holder ideally will be an individual comfortable with providing appropriate counselling to patients of all ages, at all levels of health literacy and has an interest in driving ongoing innovations in improving primary care delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver excellent, evidence-based, patient-centred primary care services to all patients
  • Develop and utilize treatment tools that standardize the provision of care in the clinic
  • Counsel patients on preventive healthcare practices.
  • Develop and execute strategies and initiatives including but not limited to corporate events, wellness checks, etc that will lead to a better experience for corporate clients

Requirements

  • Minimum MBBS / MBChB.
  • 2 – 3 years post NYSC experience in comprehensive primary care
  • Demonstrated experience with developing clinical/scientific research or utilizing medical research findings to guide treatment decisions.
  • Able to recognize symptoms and signs of various illness and injuries to order appropriate tests and prescribe treatments.
  • Understand proper format for patient note documentation
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • Candidates must reside around Abuja axis
  • Able to work 8am to 8pm on days of shift.

Data Subject Rights and Incident Management:

  • Lead incident response for data breaches or privacy incidents, conducting root cause analysis and coordinating remediation efforts in collaboration with IT, legal, and regional teams.

Risk Assessment and Data Impact Assessments:

  • Conduct data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) and privacy risk assessments for new projects, technologies, or initiatives, particularly those involving personal data in emerging markets.
  • Identify, analyze, and mitigate risks associated with data processing in regions with evolving regulatory environments.

Stakeholder Engagement and External Liaison:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory authorities in emerging markets regarding data privacy inquiries, audits, and compliance reviews.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., IT, product development, HR) to embed data privacy principles into processes, policies, and systems from the outset.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Professional certifications such as CIPP, CIPT, CIPM, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in data protection, privacy law, or compliance, preferably with experience in emerging markets.
  • Expertise in international data protection regulations, particularly in regions across Africa, Asia and Latin America.

Key Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of NDPA, GDPR, POPIA, LGPD, and other relevant data protection regulations in emerging markets.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to present complex privacy concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
  • Experience conducting DPIAs, risk assessments, and privacy audits.
