Job Title: HSE Officer

Location: Nigeria

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of OHS policies and programs
  • Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics (noise levels, use of machinery etc.)
  • Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures
  • Review existing policies and measures and update according to legislation
  • Initiate and organize OHS training of employees and executives
  • Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment)
  • Oversee installations, maintenance, disposal of substances etc.
  • Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy
  • Record and investigate incidents to determine causes and handle worker’s compensation claims
  • Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management

Requirements

  • B.Sc / BA in Safety Management, Science Laboratory, or relevant field is preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years proven experience as HSE Officer in any industry, preferably from a process industry.
  • Must have in depth knowledge of legislation (e.g. OSHA/EPA) and procedure knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety
  • Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics
  • Proficient in MS Office; Working knowledge of safety management information systems is a plus
  • Diligent with great attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics.

Salary
N180,000 – N220,000 gross

Job Title: Upstream Gas Commercial Lead

Job Description

  • Our client, a leading independent upstream oil & gas company in Nigeria, with active operatorship of a couple of blocks in the Niger Delta. In view of their current growth programs, They are seeking an experienced and resourceful person to fill the role of the Upstream Gas Commercial Lead.
  • The ideal candidate will lead the commercial arm of a dynamic and integrated team working to conceptualize, design and execute subsurface/wells/facilities efforts to commercialize some gas resources.
  • The main responsibility will be to lead the business development, engagement and negotiation with key stakeholders, including partners, regulators, vendors, and prospective customers, with a view to reaching robust commercial models and agreements than can underpin investment decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement commercial strategies that meet the overall project/company goals and objectives of monetizing hydrocarbons.
  • Prospects and develop business relationship with product off takers, ultimately leading to robust sales/transport/processing agreements, as may be necessary.
  • Prospects and develop business relationship with funding institutions, ultimately leading to Project Financing, to underpin Final Investment Decision.
  • Participate and contribute to engagements with vendors/contractors, enabling an ultimately robust commercial framework and agreements.
  • Lead engagements with partners, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders, as may be relevant to the overall project/company objectives.
  • Participate in, drive, and carry out any other activities that may be relevant to the overall team’s project’s objective(s).
  • Comply and ensure team members comply with the company’s HSSE standards.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering or any numerate discipline with a minimum of Second-Class Upper Division.
  • Preferably holds a master’s degree in business administration, or a commercial discipline.
  • A minimum of 10-15 years upstream commercial experiences, including Economic Screening, Commercial Framing, Legal Understandings, Risks Management; Sales and Marketing, Facilitating Sales and/or Transportation Agreements, Sourcing Financing.
  • Need strong interpersonal skills to be successful in this role, collaborating across the different disciplines and/or businesses (Subsurface, Surface Engineering disciplines, as well as with Wells, Operations, Finance and Legal teams).
  • Upstream Offshore and Upstream Gas experiences is mandatory requirement.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of Management and other stakeholders.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and ready to travel at very short notice.
  • Must be result oriented and committed to company goals.
  • Must be capable of representing the company with regulatory/government agencies.

Job Title: Internal Risk and Compliance Officer

Job Summary

  • The role is to ensure the Bank’s risks are properly managed, the development and implementation of risk and compliance strategies or programs to find appropriate balance in all forms of credit and operational risks while also ensuring regulatory compliance. The main areas of this are:
    • Risk Management (credit and non-credit risk)
    • AML (Anti Money Laundering)
    • Enterprise Risk
    • Fraud Prevention and detection
    • Business Continuity
    • Compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and enforce risk management policies, including Credit Manual, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Manual and Policy, and monitor compliance with these policies.
  • Develop appropriate Risk Management strategies/tools and disseminate appropriate risk management practices in line with developments in business products, change in clients, markets/industry, laws and regulations.
  • Own and ensure that the KYC/AML & CTF policies are kept up to date in line with CBN’s / FATF regulations.
  • Ensure that Members of Staff are familiar with the KYC/AML & CTF regulations pertinent to their jobs.
  • Carry out internal training / refresher training for all staff to ensure that they are suitably trained.
  • Provide an independent review of proposed business plans which include risks identified to the Board Risk Committee and Executive Committee.
  • Manage a comprehensive KYC/AML/CTF Compliance program for the company in line with local regulations and internal policy requirements.
  • Developing systems to generate a robust system to identify, monitor, manage and control credit, market and operational risks.
  • Act as the champion of risk management for the Company and help improve Management team understanding of key risk identification, assessment, monitoring and reporting and mitigation.
  • Monitor and manage the performance and development of direct reports.

Requirements

  • HND / B.Sc Degree in Finance / Economics / Business Administration, etc. from a reputable University. Post graduate degree an added advantage
  • Minimum of 3 years working experience in risk management, internal control or audit in financial services industry/sector.
  • Experience of development of policy documents added advantage
  • Highly proficient with MS Office and Excel.
